who is the Father Confessor of Hotkovskiy Convent of Intercession, Hieromonk Ioakim (Zayakin), who is now restoring Poluninskaya community of the Exaltation of the Cross in the village of Krasny Kholm in the district of Shilovo in Ryazan Diocese. At the blessing of the ruling archbishop it will be reformed into a monastery.
One of the eldest monks of our monastery, Hegumen Raphael (Kostyk) performs the duties of the provisor at the Metochion of the Nikolo-Ugrezhskiy monastery.
 There are the honoured remains of the deceased Archimandrite Abel (Makedonov), whose life was sincere warmest love of God under the sanctuary of the Cathedral of St. John the Theologian in the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov. His tomb is settled between the northern wall of the church and the left side of the semicircle sanctuary. Behind the sanctuary of the Cathedral of St. John the Theologian and near the Church of the Theotokos of Tikhvin and of St. Nicholas there are two wooden crosses – the burial place of two brothers: Hieromonk Benedict (Krasnov) (†22.10.1993) and Schemonk Clement (Razuyev) (†13.10.2002). The latter worked hard for the decoration of the cloister for many years, when he was still in the secular position, he tirelessly replenished the library of the monastery.
 Behind the sanctuary of the cathedral of Assumption old mothers are buried: Nun in schema Maria (Gritzyk) (†5.03.1994) and Anastasiya (Korotkova) (†1.10.1999), Nuns Joanna (Korotkova) (†5.06.1995) and Lyubov (Tarasova) (†5.10.1997), Nun Yevdokiya (†28.10.1998). Three of them were dwellers of the nearby villages.
When we remember the deceased, when we meet and talk to the living or greet them silently, it occurs to us that many of them are surely original, settled, blessed people, and the Holy Spirit continues to sanctify them in this world and in the other, immaterial one.
