thumb_PB220227_thumbHegumen Dionysius (Porubay) is the Father Superior of the monastery. He is a permanent resident of the cloister.

The eldest conventuals of the monastery are experienced monks. They came here in the first years after the renewal of the cloister. They are Hegumen Peter (Tazin), Hegumen Paisiy (Savosin), an expert on the monastic rules, Hierodeacon Cyril (Gritsyk) who is hoary with age and who was working hard at the farmyard for many years and is now working in the church.

Hegumen Dionysius (Porubay) at the blessing of Archbishop Paul of Ryazan and Kasimov regularly lectures at the Department of Theology of Ryazan State University and at Ryazan Theological Seminary.

The Father Confessor of the monastery Hegumen Sergiy (Gaiduk) and Hieromonk Abel (Usachev) take care of the prisoners in a male colony near Ryazan. Two former eldest monks of our cloister thumb_bratiya4have been called for the service of bishops. Right Reverend Joseph was recently the Father Superior of the monastery and worked hard for its revival. He was Bishop of Shatsk and Vicar of Ryazan Eparchy. According to the decree of the Holy Synod dated the 19th of July 2006 he was appointed Bishop of Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocese. Bishop Veniamin of Penza and Kuznetzk performed the duties of the provisor in the monastery in 1989 – 1990.

thumb_bratiya7Many of the first monks of the cloister joined the brethren of other monasteries and became the spiritual leaders there. These are, for example, Archimandrite Joseph (Bratischev) the former Hegumen of Solovetzkiy Monastery, who has retired now on health grounds, Hegumen Seraphim (Maslyaev), who is the Father Confessor in the Convent of the Intercession in the town of Mikhailov in Ryazan region, Hegumen Ambrose (Kravchuk),
