Богослужебный строй

After St. John the Theologian Monastery was returned to Orthodox Church in the autumn of 1988 the complete cycle of canonical Divine services began to be celebrated here from the very beginning. The former Father Superior of the cloister late Archimandrite Abel (Makedonov) was much concerned about their indispensable maintenance and deep devotional character.

The liturgical day in the church starts everywhere in the evening.

Every day at 5 or at 6 p.m. (depending on the feast) St. John the Theologian Cathedral resounds with the words of the priest “"Blessed is our Lord, always, now and ever and unto ages of ages" and the Divine service begins
